Compare-a-Face is a fun FamilySearch discovery experience. Simply upload a picture of yourself and FamilySearch will compare it with the pictures of your ancestors already uploaded on FamilySearch. Using facial recognition software, it will rank the ancestors you most closely resemble and their resemblance percentage.
I tried it with a couple pictures of myself—one as an adult and one as a teenager. My teen photo most closely resembled my great-grandmother on my dad’s side. And then, my adult picture most closely resembled her daughter, my grandmother, on my dad’s side.
When the information pulls up, you can click on that ancestor andsee your relationship to them. FamilySearch also includes some of the photos already uploaded in memories along with links to read any stories or see any documents about your ancestor. It’s an easy way to learn more about the ancestors you resemble.
