I stumbled across the MY CONTRIBUTIONS tab on Family Search and clicked on it.
It is available on:
- Desktop – Tool bar while on a person page;
- Apple iOS – bottom right corner, tap the 3 dots;
- and Android – top left corner, tap the 3 lines.
It shows YOUR individual contributions to Family Search over the last EIGHT years.
The STATS tab will show you ALL: your total numbers; and then breaks it down into the number of SOURCES attached, MEMORIES attached, and PERSONS created.
The CHANGES tab will show you the changes you have made for individual profiles.
The PRIVATE PERSONS tab will show all the living people on your tree and those you are managing in private space.
I was especially excited about the PRIVATE PERSONS tab, because I felt there were living profiles that I had created through the years and lost track of, or had never really kept track of. I wanted to check on these people and see if they were now eligible for Temple Work (born more than 110 years ago) and also wanted to mark them as deceased and move them out of private space to the FamilySearch tree for everyone to see. A while ago I had even asked the sisters I serve with at the FHC (they have all the answers) if there was some way to see a list of your private or living profiles. I even messaged FamilySearch about this inquiry.
Now, this list is available under MY CONTRIBUTIONS. I have spent a number of days cleaning up my PRIVATE PERSONS* list.
*Private profiles are attached to your account and are nontransferable (even upon account holder’s death), so you need to manage those profiles and not lose all your work and research.
Take a minute and look at the MY CONTRIBUTIONS tab, and of course, add some more STATS to it!
