On September 30, 2024, FamilySearch published a blog article wherein they added 7 million new records to its free online archives. Some exciting additions include 3.8 million parish and civil registration records from France, 1 million cemetery records from Chile, and over 500,000 civil registration records from Sri Lanka.
Other countries with significant record additions include the following:
- Ecuador
- Ireland
- Italy
- South Africa
- United States (Montana)
- Venezuela
- Zambia
In addition, new historical records were added from Albania, Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, Columbia, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ecuador, El Salvador, France, Germany, Guadeloupe, Guatemala, Honduras, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Madagascar, Martinique, Mexico, Netherlands, Panama, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Portugal, Puerta Rico, Russia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Uruguay, Venezuela, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and United States.
