Did you know that family history centers run by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints offer free access to several premium genealogical websites? Through the Family History Center Portal, these websites, which normally require a paid subscription, offer a library edition to patrons at no cost. The portal can be accessed on the computers at the centers by visiting familysearch.org/fhcenters/portal. The 19th Century British Library Newspapers Digital Archive – Online newspaper collection for the U.K. and Ireland
Alexander Street – Civil War, U.S. social and cultural historical records
American Ancestors – Early American and worldwide records
Ancestry Institution – Library edition of Ancestry.com with access to worldwide records
ArkivDigital – The largest database of Swedish church and historical records
FamNet – New Zealand records
FindMyPast – Library edition with access to worldwide records
Fold 3 – Database of U.S. military records. Search engine on Ancestry.com
Geneanet – Database of French records and other records worldwide.
MyHeritage – Library edition with access to worldwide records
Newspapers.com – The largest online collection of newspapers from the 1700s to the 2000s. Search engine on Ancestry.com
Paper Trail – Database of 19th century westward American pioneer documents
Puzzilla – Partnered with FamilySearch and provides an alternative way to view and search lines on FamilyTree
