If you answered yes to any of these questions, we have something for you at the Granite Family History Center. The equipment, consultants, programs and activities available at the Granite Family History Center have been designed and developed with your needs in mind. Here are just a few of the opportunities available to you at the Granite FHC:
- Open 32 hours each week staffed with consultants to help you with your family history needs.
- Classrooms that can be scheduled any time for ward and stake council meetings, church groups, family groups, and youth classes.
- Broad menu of activities and presentations that can be tailored to any group and to accomplish any family history purpose.
- Excellent equipment for you to scan photos, books, documents, letters and other memories.
- Audio/visual specialists available to assist you with digitizing slides, audio cassette tapes, reel-to-reel recordings and 8mm film.
- Weekly zoom classes to help you learn about research methods and skills.
- Family history activities after school for the youth (with treats!).
- Opportunities for special lessons or activities for groups or one-on-one consultation.
- Opportunities to work with a consultant through a zoom meeting for those who find it difficult to come to the Granite FHC.
- Blog subscription which provides you with weekly articles to assist you and encourage you with your family history.
- Website with numerous videos and tutorials available on demand.
- Friendly staff just waiting to serve you.
- Presentations available for groups, classes, families, neighborhoods, or friends to learn more about family history at any level.
- Over 40 large touch screen computers (with cameras) and 10 laptop computers.
- Free access to numerous other family history resources available only at family history centers.
